Midwifery Care for Postpartum Mothers with Afterpains Discomfort in Maternity Hospital Asuhan Kebidanan pada Ibu Nifas dengan Ketidaknyamanan Afterpains di Rumah Sakit Bersalin

Abstract

The postpartum period is the recovery of the condition of the mother after giving birth which lasts for 6 weeks, it is not uncommon to experience complaints, including afterpain. Afterpain is a physiological complaint and often appears in postpartum women with nausea due to uterine contractions in the process of uterine involution. The highest incidence of afterpain in Indonesia 90.3% is experienced by postpartum mothers aged 20-32 years, while the lowest afterpains incidence is 58.4% occurs in postpartum mothers aged 16-21. The purpose of this case study is to determine midwifery care for postpartum mothers with afterpain complaints. The case study method of continuous midwifery care uses the observation method from 30 December 2019 to 02 February 2020 at PMB Hj. Nafsul Muslichah Magersari Sidoarjo. Midwifery care that is carried out is to conduct an assessment until an evaluation is carried out. Midwifery care that was carried out was running normally without any complications. The results obtained from the study of the data up to the observation did not find any gaps with the theory
