Due to PLTS's limited capacity, an automatic transfer switch (ATS) is utilized to seamlessly switch between PLTS and PLN (public electricity) based on sensor readings. The system uses an INA219 sensor to monitor PLTS voltage, a TDS sensor for water quality, and a NodeMCU microcontroller, with data displayed on an LCD and Blynk for remote monitoring. Testing showed a PLTS voltage of 12.0V, with sensor accuracies of 96% (INA219) and 98.59% (TDS). Overall, the system demonstrated reliable and optimal performance, providing a sustainable solution for urban hydroponic farming.

Highlights:

1. This research aims to design an IoT-integrated automation system to monitor and control key parameters such as air temperature, humidity, and moss moisture for orchid cultivation. Using the research and development method, we observed plant needs, reviewed relevant literature, designed an effective system, and tested sensor accuracy and system reliability. Results showed the DHT-22 sensor had a minimal error in temperature (0.9%) and humidity (2.1%) readings, and the soil moisture sensor had a 3.65% error. The system maintained optimal conditions, and the Blynk app effectively displayed data. Mistakes in designing strip and column foundations on natural soil often lead to cracks due to uneven settlements, as traditional methods prioritize matching foundation base pressure to soil bearing resistance, often neglecting settlement calculations. This research highlights the importance of incorporating settlement analysis into foundation design. A comparative review of existing methods and field data reveals significant disparities between standard design approaches and those considering settlement. Findings show that foundations designed with consistent settlement criteria exhibit better structural strength and reduced crack formation. The study underscores the need for a fundamental shift in foundation design procedures to include settlement analysis, ensuring the long-term durability and safety of buildings.

Highlights:

Traditional foundation design often neglects settlement calculations, leading to structural issues.

Incorporating settlement analysis results in stronger, more durable foundations.

Comparative review highlights the need for updated design procedures to prevent cracks.

Keywords: Foundation Design, Settlement Analysis, Structural Strength, Differential Settlement, Crack Prevention
2024-06-28T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Tulakov Elmurad Salomovich, Mamatkulova Zebinisso Shavkatovnahttps://ijins.umsida.ac.id/index.php/ijins/article/view/1276Wet Extraction Process and Its Physicochemical Changes in Virgin Coconut Oil2024-09-07T02:14:35+00:00Andira Arisandhywulandari_n@apps.ipb.ac.idNur Wulandariwulandari_n@apps.ipb.ac.idFaleh Setia Budiwulandari_n@apps.ipb.ac.id
Background: Indonesia is a major exporter of virgin coconut oil (VCO), but global demand surpasses production. Utilizing a quantitative methodology, data was collected from documents and literature studies and analyzed through logistic regression. The findings reveal that financial stability measured by the M-Score and F-Score models is significantly impacted by pressure, whereas opportunity affects fraud detection when using the M-Score model, and arrogance is significant with the F-Score model. However, no significant effects were observed for opportunity with the F-Score, rationalization with both models, capability with both models, and arrogance with the M-Score. Posters are one such medium that can significantly enhance students' attention and interest during learning sessions. However, traditional posters often lack elements that make them interactive and engaging enough to substantially impact speaking skills and teamwork. This study aims to introduce and evaluate the effectiveness of a novel learning medium, known as Luth-Badila’s Learning Time, which utilizes uniquely designed 3D posters incorporating subject materials, quizzes, and a rotating clock embedded in a robot's head to attract students' attention and improve their speaking skills and teamwork. The implementation of Luth-Badila’s Learning Time in classrooms has shown promising results, with a noticeable increase in student engagement, improved speaking skills, and enhanced teamwork. The novelty of this learning medium lies in its interactive 3D design and the integration of multiple educational elements into a single poster, which is a significant departure from traditional 2D posters. The findings suggest that incorporating such innovative and interactive learning media in educational settings can lead to better student outcomes, particularly in terms of speaking skills and collaborative abilities. The learning network model has been developed as an effective learning design in online learning which can be the right solution for. However, currently no empirical evidence has been found regarding the role of the learning network model, especially as moderated by self-efficacy. The aim of this research is to determine the role of the learning network model and self-efficacy on the performance of informatics education students in an online learning environment. The research design used was semi-experimental with a 2x2 factor. A total of 109 informatics education students for learning evaluation subjects were then divided into two groups, namely experimental and control. The research results show that the learning network model and self-efficacy have a significant effect on student performance in the cognitive aspect, while there is no significant effect in the psychomotor aspect.
